STAR Program Certification Course — This 20-hour self-directed online course includes ten, 2-hour modules. This course provides a comprehensive overview of cancer rehabilitation and cites several hundred recent research studies. Target Audience: Clinicians and other professionals who are involved in rehabilitation medicine and/or cancer care. Goal: To provide education to nurses (RNs) and other healthcare providers caring for cancer patients about survivorship issues ranging from treatment complications due to toxic therapies to psychosocial adjustments to cancer and its sequelae.

STAR Program Training Modules — These online 1-hour or 2-hour modules are presented in a similar manner to the STAR Program Certification Course content; however they can be taken individually. They cover various topics in cancer rehabilitation and/or survivorship care and provide participants with important information about new research on the topic(s).

STAR Program Case Study Modules — These 1-hour online modules consist of three case studies each. The case studies are designed to bring the didactic content into simulated clinical scenarios. Participants play different roles in the case studies (e.g., physician, nurse, physical therapist, etc.) which helps to understand the multidisciplinary rehabilitation and survivorship team approach. All case studies are based on research studies that demonstrate a best practices approach to cancer rehabilitation and/or survivorship care.

STAR Program Survivor Guidebooks — These printed guidebooks are given to patients (survivors) in order to encourage active participation in their care. They are available only in bound paper form (not a pdf or online) and can be ordered by STAR Certified Clinicians or STAR Certified Providers and institutions.
