Oncology Rehab Partners Announces the Launch of a New STAR Program® Initiative called SPARK (STAR Program® Alliance Research Kickstart)

Oncology Rehab Partners, an innovative healthcare company with a mission to improve survivorship care, has announced the launch of a new STAR Program initiative called SPARK (STAR Program® Alliance Research Kickstart). SPARK is a resource center designed to help STAR Programs efficiently and effectively publish research.

This program offers lectures/webinars, focus groups, 1:1 mentoring as well as grant proposal templates to assist facilities in the development and documentation of new research studies.

SPARK aims to help STAR Program organizations to:
• Identify your institution as a best practices model for cancer survivorship care
• Fulfill the CoC & other accreditation research requirements
• Demonstrate academic leadership in the field of cancer survivorship care
• Market your cancer survivorship service line
• Increase grant support & research funding
• Attract the attention of the administration
• Increase patient referrals/revenue

STAR Program Certification provides healthcare facilities and clinicians with the tools (education and training, and evaluation and treatment protocols) to develop and deliver state-of-the-art cancer rehabilitation services to survivors who suffer the side effects and after effects of treatments – whether they are in remission, living with cancer or cured. All of the services integrated in the STAR Program Certification, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, mental health counseling, and consultations with rehabilitation medicine physicians (physiatrists), are typically covered by health insurance.
